There are many positive and negative impacts of tourism. Tourism can provide jobs and improve the wealth of an area. Many developing countries are keen to develop tourism in order to become richer and to improve the quality of life for their people. Howe, when large numbers of visitors go to one place it is called mass tourism and it is contributing for many disadvantages for the environment, society and economy.

1 You are required to choose any destination anywhere around the world, including Oman, explaining the positive and the negative impacts of tourism for each of the following areas : - economical, environmental and societal/cultural.

In your report, you must do the following:

Introduction; a brief introduction about what tourism and its importance 4. Main Body;

What is mass tourism (give examples).

Provide a photo of the impact and specify the destination you have chosen and its location.

What are the positive and negative socio-cultural, economic and,environmental impacts of tourism on that particular area.

Conclusion

Draws together your overall understanding and summarize the points discussed.

Recommendations

Based on your discussion, make recommendations on what can be done to solve the negative tourism impacts on that destination.
