Personnel Director: After interviewing the candidates, I recommend that John Hardy be offered the manager's position. He has experience in all the required areas, and is especially strong in new product promotion, a skill that our firm badly needs.

HR Director: So once again there is no female candidate worthy of being a manager? I've had enough of this "finding the best man for the job" routine. It is time to see our company step up to the plate and shatter that glass ceiling. I propose that we offer the job to Abigail Jefferson. What is the logical difficulty with the HR director's position?
