The company uses Jason, a university student, to deliver their goods on weekends. He has regular work each Saturday and sometimes on a Sunday. Jason uses the company vehicle to deliver goods. On one Saturday a cyclist rides near the van Jason is driving, and the cyclist is clipped by the van which tips him off the bicycle onto the roadway. The cyclist is injured and his bike is crushed by a following car. What is the liability of the company for the actions of Jason?
