Discussion Topic 1

This topic involves non-point water pollution. This is where much of our efforts have to be targeted at if we are to continue to clean up our nation's waters. We have cleaned up most of the major point sources of water pollution and the regulation of non-point sources has caused controversy.

If you were the BOSS of water policy, describe your ideas to clean up non-point water pollution, such as urban storm runoff and agricultural runoff (for example, how would you prevent the runoff of agricultural chemicals into the Miss. river that causes a large area of the Gulf of Mexico to have no life in it part of the year).

In your position as BOSS, you have great power--so come up with great ideas to solve our non-point water pollution problems.
