Question: Over the last six weeks, you have explored essential concepts related to the identification and management of risk in healthcare. Risk management programs must be implemented and then periodically monitored and adjusted to be effective. This process requires the preparation of a risk management policy statement as well as cooperation throughout the organization. For your final assignment in this course, draw upon all that you have learned in a thorough exploration of risk management policy.
Using your course textbook, resources provided throughout the course, and your own independent research, address the following questions in your analysis of risk management programs in healthcare:
- What is included in a well-defined risk management policy?- How does a well-prepared risk management policy statement benefit the firm? - How and why does the success of the risk management program depend on who was included in its development? - What are the benefits and challenges of outsourcing for risk management programs?
Your analysis should be a minimum of 2000 words, not including the title and reference pages. Your research should include insights from your course textbook, the ASHRM website and toolkit (See attached below), examples of risk management programs, and examples that support your analysis from peer-reviewed resources and industry websites. Include a minimum of 4 references using proper APA 7th edition citations.
