Option 1: Theorizing News Consumption points
For this assignment option, start by answering the following questions:
• Where do you get the majority of your news?
• Why do you choose the source and medium you do, and how often do you access it?
• Do you share this news with others?
o If so, with whom and how?
o If not, why not? What do you think your choice of news source(s) say(s) about who you are and your place in society?
Be sure to apply either cultivation effects or uses and gratifications theory to an assessment of your news-consumption habits. Support your assessment with original research into theory and the news media.

• Why do you choose this entertainment medium? How often and with whom do you access it?
• What does this source of entertainment give to you?
• What do you think your choice says about who you are and where you fit in society?

Option 1: The Business Case-JWD Consulting
JWD Consulting wrote a business case before officially initiating the project management intranet site project. Review the contents of this document in Table of the text and find two articles that describe the need to justify investing in IT projects. In addition, describe whether you think most projects should include a business case before the project sponsors officially approve the project. Write a short paper summarizing your findings and opinions.
Your paper should be 2 to 3 pages long, excluding title and references, and conform to CSU-Global Guide to Writing & APA. Include at least two scholarly references in addition to the course textbook. The CSU-Global Library is a good place to find these references.
Option 2: The Business Case-Acme Company
Acme Company retained your services as a project management consultant to develop an agile method, using Scrum. Acme has always used a predictive methodology; however, management has heard the merits of agile, and they wish to understand the implications of transitioning to an adaptive methodology. Prepare a short proposal presenting what training, documentation, executive support, and team management approaches are needed to pilot Scrum. Provide justifications for your recommendations.
