The difference between job enrichment and job enlargement is in their purpose. Job enrichment is improving it and making it more rewarding which job enlargement simply refers to expanding in terms of work. As of such, job enrichment is more useful in curing boredom and monotony in the workplace.
Discuss an experience you have had with goals. Explain how goal-setting affected motivation and performance.
Which of the incentive systems in this section do the best job of tying pay to individual performance? Which ones do the worst job? Explain your answers.
2. What are the three phases of the General Adaptation Syndrome? The book described a situation where this syndrome can play out in terms of physical stresses like cold and hunger. How might the three categories of this model apply to work stress as well?
