Mr. Usman, General Manager Sales of Samsung air conditioners want to predict future sales based on the Associative Forecasting Method. He has used Microsoft excel to find the line regression equation between number of AC sold and the average outside temperature in extreme summer months.

Y = 36 + 4.3X

Mr. Usman does not like mathematical models so he has hired a professional from PIQC to help him predict future sales as per the below mentioned conditions

Please answer the below questions

1) What is dependent and independent variable in above-mentioned case?

2) What will be the number of ACs sold if average summer month's temperature is at 40 °C?
