CASE STUDY:

MIRO Miro is an elderly Aboriginal gentleman who speaks little English and has been staying in Brisbane with his daughter. He has been diagnosed with terminal liver cancer and has only a few weeks to live. His daughter has called a palliative care service to set up care. The daughter translates and tells the team he must stay with her and get the care he needs leading to his death. The palliative care team note her wishes but in the middle of the talk Miro leaves the room shouting at the daughter.
