Globalization, or the process or trading, selling, buying, and developing something on a mass scale, has had a massive impact on human life in a variety of ways over the years. One area of life that has been significantly influenced by globalization is food.

But how? In what ways has cultural globalization influenced and impacted food over the years? Well, that is exactly what you are going to research, learn about, and share in this lab!

Choose ONE of the following options to research and present your findings about globalization:

Option 1: Research a Global Cuisine. In a 1 to 2 page paper, presentation or other visual, research a cuisine from around the world. Next, choose three staple dishes of that cuisine to learn more about. For each dish, share its name, its ingredients, the cultural relevance (think of: geography, history, religion, holidays), and any information on its presentation. Include an image for each dish as well.

Option 2: What is Cultural Globalization? In a one-page paper or presentation, answer the following questions:

What is cultural globalization? How does it differ from global cuisine?
What factors have contributed to cultural globalization?
Provide 3 specific examples of how globalization affects your life today

Option 3 Cultural Globalization Timeline: In a timeline or other visual presentation, examine at least four different time periods of history where cultural globalization made a major impact. Give a brief paragraph explaining how and why food was globalized for each period of history.
