Assignment:

Use Venn diagrams to compare and contrast the given sets.

If you are not familiar with the information contained in the sets, conduct some online research in order to populate your Venn diagrams with information. In your answers, discuss what is contained in the various regions (i.e. I, II, III and so on). A very simple example is: if set A=Birds and set B=Organisms that fly, then Region I contains Ostriches, Region II contains Eagles, and Region III contains butterflies. Note that Ostriches do not fly but are birds, butterflies fly but are not birds, and eagles are birds that fly.

Exercises:

1. Compare and contrast low cost (set A) and legacy (set B) airlines in the U.S.

2. Compare and contrast airline transport (set A) and general aviation (set B) pilots in the U.S.

3. Compare and contrast commercial service (set A), reliever (set B), and general aviation (set C) airports in the U.S.
