You have just been employed as an Operations Manager in a starting up Organisation with no Operations strategies in place. Due to the urgency of the firm to commence its operations as soon as is possible, you have been assigned a role of Strategic Team Leader, who is to assemble a team of experts that will ensure that necessary strategies are formulated. Deal with the following as critical issues of this process:

a) What is Capacity Strategy and what elements constitute it? State and identify Four (4) expansion strategies and scenarios where these will particularly be applied.

b) Capacity can be described in Three Levels, identify and describe these levels through the Overall level of Operations Capacity? By aid of diagram state and describe Four (4) factors influencing overall level capacity on the Operations Resources side and Four (4) actors influencing overall level capacity on the Market Requirements side

c) Capacity considers Forecast Demand, Uncertainty of future demand, and Changes in demand-Long and short term demand, the availability of capital, Economies and Dis economies. Explain how these are considered and their relevance to capacity strategy.
