Using the annotated sample reading of "Remarks at the University of Michigan" by Lyndon B. Johnson that you read this week, as well as using the characteristics of a position argument and the key terms explained in chapter 10.3, do an annotated reading of Dr. Martin Luther King, Junior's speech "Drum Major Instinct" and post your notes/observations on the MLK Discussion Board.

One thing you'll want to be sure to note is repetition. In an essay in The Atlantic called "Revisiting One of King's Final and Most Haunting Sermons," writer Dagmawi Woubshet states that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is a first-rate orator and that the speech "Drum Major Instinct" is charged with passion and pathos and uses repetition not only to itemize but also to stress key phrases.
