What is an example of innovation in your 'workplace'?

Here we ask you to think about examples of 'workplace innovation' and 'innovation in your workplace'. These can be from your workplace or workplaces you have observed. 

We invite you to think about innovation 'in your workplace', including anywhere you do 'work'. This includes part-time jobs and volunteer work or your work as a carer for family or community. You can have an example from your career as a 'learner', anything relating to the university, transport, or home learning environment. Examples can include 'work' to improve around the house, your chores or the contribution you make to your community. 

You can either share with us an example of an innovation that you have observed in your workplace, OR you can propose an innovation that you feel will make work better for yourself or others. 

  • Provide a context to the suggestion you are putting forward (where/ when / who / why?)
  • What makes it an 'innovation'?
  • What has changed or could change if it was introduced?
  • Has there been any measure of its success or value?
  • What negative impact has there been or might there be? 
  • What do you think makes this a particularly innovative response?
  • Be sure to include one link or image
