1) What is a problem? Give an example of a business problem and discuss how a computer-based information system could solve it.

2) Give two examples of products or services whose delivery time could be cut from days to minutes with the aid of IT.

3) A company achieves strategic advantage by using strategy to maximize its strengths, resulting in a competitive advantage. One good example was in 2012 with "payment on the go" with mobile technology.
Give examples in the recent years of two (2) major companies that used strategic advantage and competitive advantage. You may look at companies in the recent 2 months because of the pandemic.

4) One way to gain competitive advantage is to "Lock in Suppliers or Buyers". One way to execute this is to bargain in volume purchase. Consider Walmart, Costco, etc. when they bargain to get their supplies so they can sell them in their outlets to their customers or clients. What is the advantage? What is the disadvantage if the suppliers of the goods and services come from China?

5) SIS stands for Strategic Information Systems. Briefly explain your understanding of SIS. In what way do you think the companies are using information system strategy in this pandemic.
