LICHENS

What is a lichen? Go find one. Give a detailed description of it and explain why we are looking at one during this unit. You may insert a digital photo if you have the technological expertise but you don't have to. How do you know you have found a lichen and not just some mold (fungus, mushroom, moss, morel, etc)? Do not cut and paste definitions into your answer.
