The question is,  What is a key paradox of globalization today?

We are supposed to answer the question on top. This is what the student wrote about the globalization paradox:

The Globalization Paradox heaps criticism on "hyper-globalization"-that magic tipping point where too much of a good thing becomes a bad thing. The nation-state that passes the tipping point either loses its machismo or its people surrender their democratic rights. Does globalization threaten to make us all the same (wearing Nikes, using iPhones, shopping on Amazon), or does it open new, hybrid forms of culture, from French-Algerian hip-hop to Korean tacos and Thai Westerns?
