How was Roman religion organized with regard to upholding the state? How did Rome regard new religions being practiced in its society? Did they welcome new religions, regulate them, suppress/persecute them, or all three?
Compare and contrast the conquest of Spain with the conquest of Greece in the 2nd century BC. Did the Senate of Rome initially have any intentions of conquering either area? How was each area run after the conquest, and did Rome necessarily have a "uniform" way of ruling its provinces?
After having watched the docudrama on Tiberius Gracchus, compare it with the lecture, your primary source readings and textbook information. What information does the documentary leave out?
