In its simplest form, an artist biography is a summary of you as an artist in a few paragraphs, it should detail any qualifications or training you undertook as an artist, as well as your influences and your achievements. An artist bio can talk about how you first became interested in art and where you studied. It can discuss your education, degrees, formal art training, or apprenticeship programs you participated in. Essentially, an artist bio connects the impact your life history has on your artwork and talks about your concepts, philosophies, inspirations, and influences.

This is an Art course. I want you to consider yourself to be an artist for at least this entire semester, so I want you to introduce yourself from the point-of-view of being an artist.

If you have never made art in your life, you can begin by identifying yourself as a creative person. What in your history has brought you to studying art?
