Case: Students are required to write an essay at least 3 to 5 pages in which specific economic principles used in this class are explained and then applied to a newspaper article. Students should regularly read the Wall Street Journal, the business section of the LA Times or similar publications (like the Economist) to find and appropriate article. The article used must be dated sometime in 2023 or 2024. The essay must be typed, double spaced with no more than 1 inch margins. Please use 12.5 and insured page numbers. A photocopy of the article must be attached to the essay, and must include the date, and the source of the article. If the article is printed from the website, make sure no advertise show other similar material obstructs the text.
Students should check with the instructor to make sure the article they have chosen is appropriate before writing the essay. Students may also bring a rough draft of their essay to the instructor for comments no later than one week before the essays due.
Follow all instructions carefully. Points will be taken off if this is not done. This essays is due in class Tuesday, April 30. It will not be accepted after this day for anything other than medical emergency which have to be verified by professional.
