Before automation, software testing required a quality assurance team that was dedicated to testing new features before they were released to production. This was an expensive approach and increased the time required to release new features. Software automation has changed the testing landscape and continues to drive innovation. With software automation, testing can be done more efficiently and requires less human interaction. This practice has reduced the number of quality engineers needed and has decreased the time to release to market. For this discussion, we will continue to explore these software automation concepts.
