It has been suggested that we have been moving away from a bipolar world (end of the cold war from 1989-1991) to a multipolar world where clash of civilisations are common. Many countries are difficult to do business for a Western multinational as the host country itself is in conflict with the enterprise's home country in terms of each other's value system.
