Quetion: Legal and Ethical Issues In her setting, Dr. Michelle Slater states that the personal ethics that she possesses would be how she manages her day, and that if she had a larger case load, that it would be difficult for her in the type of work that she does. The primary ethical issues that she comes into contact with, however, are mostly related to minors. When working in a community setting, the ethical and legal issues that she is faced with are confidentiality, as well as working with other agencies, yet the clients that she works with are more developmental and less crisis based. She states that when working with minors, it can be difficult due to how you communicate with their parents, or even do not communicate with them due to the confidentiality that the client has. From what I have gathered within the 2014 ACA Code of Ethics is that there are multiple ethical standards to follow when dealing with confidentiality and minors.
