I need help expanding my point on how humans have controlled and exploited the environment

Essay question - In what ways does the human belief that nature belongs to us contribute to climate change? What do we lose and what do we gain when we embrace the idea that our planet takes priority over economic interests?

My response so far:

Our civilization's present climate issue is primarily due to our belief that nature is our property. Because we have prioritized economic interests, we have failed to appreciate the value of maintaining and safeguarding the natural environment. As a result, we must reconsider our connection with nature and recognize the need of conserving and protecting the environment. We can save the ecosystem and ensure a prosperous future by understanding our influence on the environment and adopting the idea that the planet comes before personal benefit.

Humans have always had a preoccupation with dominating and conquering people and things throughout history. From ancient civilisation conquering territory to slavery's dominion over our own selves. Humans have always discovered a need to exert control in order to raise their own standards. This control fixation has been handed down to the topic of climate change. Because of the globalization of industrialism, we have had several negative repercussions on the planet over time. "A free trader's dream, and a climate nightmare, . A nightmare since low pay and high emissions are closely compared" Countries were able to exploit environmental demands in order to mass produce low-cost commodities.
