Mr. Kennedy received three-day treatment with fluids, antibiotics, and oxygen. You are the nurse for Mr. Kennedy on the third day and your assessment findings are below: VS: 99.6, 92, 24, 140/80, 94 % on RA. He does not appear to be in any distress and denies any dyspnea. Lung sounds still demonstrate diminished lung sounds and course crackles in the left lower lobe. You note that his lung sounds have improved. Mr. Kennedy still complains of pain in the left chest with a cough, and minimal yellow-colored sputum is noted with his cough. The MD, and case manager meet with you to discuss Mr. Kennedy's progress and preparation for discharge. Based on the updated assessment, do you think Mr. Kennedy is improving as expected?
