Think back to Opening weekend and the presentation on microaggressions. As you may remember, microaggression is a term used to describe "brief, everyday exchanges that send denigrating messages to certain individuals because of their group membership" (D.W. Sue 2010).

Constantly being on the receiving end of these exchanges can have a significant negative impact on one's well-being.

What have been your personal experiences or encounters with microaggressions?

Consider a time when you either directly experienced a microaggression, engaged in a microaggression yourself, or heard someone else use a microaggression.

If someone pointed out to you that one of your comments was a microaggression, how would you respond?

Would it change the likelihood of you making a similar comment in the future, and why?
