Q. A uniform soda can of mass 0.138-kg is 11.80-cm tall and filled with 1.30-kg of soda. Then small holes are drilled in the top and bottom (with negligible loss of metal) to drain soda. (Initially the soda can is full.)

(i) What is the height h of the com (center of mass) of the can and contents initially.

(ii) What is the height h of the com of the can after the can loses all the soda?

(iii) What happens to h as the soda drains out?
3 ---Select--- decreases to the bottom rises to the top stays the same decreases then rises again.

(iv) If x is the height of the remaining soda at any give instant, find out x when the com reaches its lowest point.
