Assignment:
Surley Iam and Mass Qulinn are new next-door neighbors. Surley, just graduated from Lewis University nursing college and Mass is a physical therapist for ATI. Surley recently purchased and moved into the home next to Mass. On moving day Mass brought flowers and a bottle of wine to welcome Surley to the neighborhood - they were delighted to meet and agreed to get together. Little did they know the opportunity would come in a way they did not anticipate.
Every Saturday night, Mass entertains a large gathering of people in his home, serves abundant food and beverages, and plays plenty of loud music to entertain his guests until 1am in the morning. Although Surley enjoys the type of music, and is tempted to join in on the fun, she likes to utilize Saturday evening to meditate while doing yoga exercises and listening to classical music. The noise disrupts Surley's peace and quiet, inhibits her concentration, and irritates her to the point of anger.
One Saturday night, Surley had enough and went to Mass's home to complain. When she knocked on Mass's front door a young sultry woman almost dressed answered the door. The woman made Surley feel uncomfortable. Surley asked to speak with Mass. The woman gave a seductive smile and said she would see if he is available. When Mass came to the door Surley was so upset. The only thing she could say was that Mass was an idiot and demanded he shut the music off.
That did not stop Mass - the next Saturday night, more guests, more entertainment, and more loud music. This time Surley called the police. After the police left Mass's home, he immediately went to Surley's home and complained - they argued. Mass accused Surley of being a prude and Shirley retorted that Mass is a perv. Every time they see each other they argue and leave offensive voice messages on each other's phone. Mass continues having parties and increases the volume of the music. A friend of Surley advised seeking a mediator - you were referred.
