Assignment:
From the supply chain perspective, what goes into staging America's most widely watched sports event? Well-managed supply chains are the lifeblood of an event's success. Super Bowl 2023 will be attended by 70,000 in person and viewed by a projected 192.9 million U.S. adults planning to tune in to the game.
Outside the stadium will be thousands more participating in tail-gating parties and watching jumbo screens.
The Assignment:
Research and describe how products from the list below move from the manufacturer to the stadium for game day. Identify the various participants (by company name) involved in moving the product to the stadium. Describe the manufacturer of the product.
The methods of transportation (UPS, railroad, ship, truck, etc.) should be identified at each stage.
In keeping with Chapter, note if the product manufacturer has embraced sustainability as a value.
Products:
Game Day Footballs - 76 game balls and 12 kicker balls
Player and Team Personnel (consider the manufacturer as the home base for the team)
Waste Management- the millions of cups, food waste, and other debris left behind after the game. Describe the plan to move it from the stadium and to where? Is it one supplier or multiple?
