A bandpass filter with a center frequency of 6kHz, a 3dB banwidth of 1 kHz, and a 50 dB bandwidth of 2kHz is connected to a signal generator that outputs a one volt square wave at a frequency of 2kHz. A spectrum analyzer is connected to the filter output.
What frequencies would you expect to see on the spectrum analyzer?
Please be thorough about the answer, I have not taken a signals class in quite some time and always had truble understanding this conceptually and mathematically.
