Question: The paper is to be three and a half to four pages in length, 12 pt font, double spaced, written in a scholarly fashion, etc. You should be using quotes to back up your arguments, so I expect a works cited/bibliography to be included. Since this is a fairly big change and it's so close to when it would be due, I'm going to give you a little bit of extra time to compete it.

What film do you believe to be the most important blockbuster of all time and why? You can choose to write about one of the films screened in class or, if your choice is something that we didn't watch, you may also write about that so long as it qualifies as a summer blockbuster (if you are unsure if it does, email me and I'll tell you). You should include a brief plot synopsis (no more than a few sentences), context about the film and its release, and then explain why you believe it is so important. While it may be that your favorite summer blockbuster is also what you believe to be the most important, you shouldn't just be writing about a particular film because you love it.
