Many are claiming social media should be limited because it affects the users' self-esteem by showing unrealistic lifestyles. In a day and age where celebrities used to be known from movies, magazines, television, or modeling, we now have social media influencers who are taking over in notoriety especially in younger generations. Especially when people like David Dobrik, an extremely popular content creator is giving all his friends Lamborghini's and offering million dollar giveaways. Recently Dobrik offered to give away five white Tesla's to people who registered to vote. In an article written by Abram Brown he states, "Dobrik's Tesla Campaign is likely the single biggest voter registration success by an individual this year and one of the largest by an individual in modern American politics." The fact that a youtuber has so much influence to orchestrate one of the largest voter turnouts is huge and quite baffling.
