Does a Christian have to be committed to scripture's inerrancy? Are you? What familiarity do you have with the doctrine of the Trinity? Have you encountered any of the ways it has been applied to human social and relational issues? At least at this point, do you resonate more with the (Arminian) free will tradition or with the (Calvinist) tradition, which emphasizes God's sovereignty and thus his act of election/predestination? What one thing do you most hope to learn from this course?
