Reflect on the three most challenging patients you encountered during the practicum experience. What was most challenging about each? (5 yrs old with oppositional defiant disorder, 38 yr old male with PTSD and substance abuse disorder, and 40 yr oldish female with borderline personality disorder).

What did you learn from this experience?

What resources did you have available? DSM5-TR, VA resources, access to Psychologist and Psychiatrist at all times. Clinical Pharmacist that rounded with the team. Homeless shelters in various counties as a resource for the patients.

4) How are you managing patient flow and volume? Seen all patients in the morning then charted and looked up information and made medication adjustments as needed for the rest of the day. Attended some psychotherapy groups.

8) Reflect on the formal and informal feedback you received from your Preceptor. (Doing good, preceptor had to remind herself that this is my first clinical since I was doing so well in some areas. Overall, I am right where I should be for my first clinical, preceptor feels that I am going to do well as a nurse practitioner).
