Comprehensive Learning Assessment: Advertisement Analysis

Select at least one (1) advertisement from your chosen company's current advertising campaign. If you choose a print ad, please scan and include that document in your paper as a source. If you choose an online ad, please include a screenshot. If you choose a television commercial, please include a link to a video (note that videos can be found on company websites and YouTube).

In a 3 to 5-page, APA-formatted paper, answer the following questions:

Assess the ad in terms of the company's target audience (market segment) and advertising strategy and plan (as you assessed in your earlier work). Does the ad support these crucial elements? Why or why not?

Do you think the chosen media is a smart one? Why or why not?

Critique the creative elements of the ad. You must address visual components including layout and color, language (verbal or written), and the use of models/spokespeople. Please comment on the graphics and the logo as well. What works? What does not? Does the ad support the brand as well as the product? What would you do differently?

What ethical issues would the advertising executive and creative team have to address in developing this ad? Think in terms of target audience; also consider how the product could be used/misused, or misrepresented

If you can determine the advertising agency retained to create this ad, please comment on the appropriateness of its selection. If not, please weigh in and discuss if you would have chosen an in-house creative group, boutique, or full-service agency for this campaign.

Additionally, you must reference and cite the company's annual report. This will be helpful in further evaluating the company's strategy and any issues/challenges it has recently faced.
