Below is the guideline from assessment 1

Images exploring technical and conceptual ideas, thinking about what you have leaned from both the lectures and the technical component of this assessment. You should begin thinking about the broad genre of portraiture and provide visual references and notes about the nature of each portrait.

For each image, write responses of the following nature: - any technical aspects you recognize

- what appeals to you about it
- why it works as a portrait
- any unique characteristics
- what emotional component does the portrait evoke? Is it moody, fun, dark, sad, sombre, etc.?
- what techniques has the photographer employed to illicit the look and feel of the portrait?
