Question

What elements of the implementation approach likely promoted its success? In what way? What elements might have put the new system at risk? In what way? For Hitachi Consulting it involved stakeholders, including human resources staff and management to ensure that the new system meets the needs of the company. Rolling it out in phases helped to fix any problems prior to the final launch of the cloud system. Additionally, this allowed the employees to get accustomed to using it and become fully trained to use it confidently. Choosing a cloud-based platform made it easier to set up and manage. Of course, there were elements that could put the new system at risk. Including, having employees resistant of learning the new system technologies, risk of losing valuable data during the transfer, and even possible data breach with the new system. Which could make the new system much more difficult to integrate into Hitachi's company needs. 4. What measures would you use to assess the long-term impact of this change? To measure the long term impact of this change for Hitachi Consulting could include valuing the feedback that is given from employees. Which can tell human resources how satisfied and efficient it is with using the new system. Also through comparing costs of before and after the system was imput to observe through data if it has saved Hitachi money. Additionally, they could check if the system can handle the planned future growth, and how it affects employee retention.
