Question: You're looked at types of writing in your field (email, reports, presentations, posters, etc.) and see what elements make up those types of writing. In addition to keeping up with webpages, scholars, and articles in your field there are also books to read.
Not everyone has time to read all the books that come out in a given year so book reviews are one way to stay on top of the newest ideas in the field.
Find a book review for your topic/field/major/interest.
• Copy and paste a link to the review
• Identify the parts of the review (evidence, how they write, images, etc.)
• Evaluate whether these parts/elements are effective and why or why not
• Identify what book you want to write your review on, and what from this example, you'll use to write your review
Here are two different examples of book reviews for you to see what I'm looking for.
