Point 1: Informing or creating policy is an important aspect of public health. One of the 10 Essential Services covered this week relates to the planning, development, and creation of policies. This includes efforts to advocate for political, social, or economic policies and programs that will improve health in diverse populations.
Point 2: You addressed insurance coverage for three different clinical preventive services. You now move from an academic focus to an advocacy focus. In this assignment, you create a one-page letter that you will send by email to a legislator or other policy maker to advocate for coverage of these three clinical preventive services in a specified diverse population.
