Case Asia Jefferson is a 38 yo F CC: worsening nonproductive cough for 8 days. She has felt feverish, had Chills, fatigue & has been getting slightly short of breath over the last 4 days. The cough is also keeping her awake at night. She is a music teacher and has had several students come in sick lately. She has not traveled recently. She has been taking Robitussin with little relief. She is allergic to Sulfa. Her VS are 101.4, 90, 22, 134/86, sat 94% RA. You hear crackles at her lower R base. Her lungs are otherwise clear. You suspect PNA which is confirmed with a CXR. Her Covid & Influenza tests come back negative.

You would like to start her on Antibiotics and treat her fever & cough.
