Many say we have become a country of guilty until proven innocent over the last decade and have drifted from our 14th Amendment rights. The presumption of innocence especially when it comes to sexual harassment has been replaced by workplace paranoia and it seems like it has spiraled into guilty until proven innocent. Businesses refuse to hire and are rapid to fire those accused in fear of lawsuits, damaged reputations, and compromised profits. CEOs, news anchors, teachers, software developers, politicians, and every day workers have had to defend themselves in the eye of accusations. Some have not even had the opportunity to defend before being fired or denied employment.
