Question: Now, find your own real world argument to evaluate. A real world argument can be in an image, a video, a blog post, an opinion article, a podcast, a summary of research findings. The topic can be whatever you choose -- the goal here is to look for the strategies described in the articles and video (recorded in your notes).
Look for Effective Argument Strategies
Read through the real world argument you chose, using your notes on what makes an effective argument to see which strategies you can locate. For example, does this real world argument use framing? Does it appeal to values specific to its audience?
Write Up Your Findings
Write up a brief explanation (150+ words) of where and how you see the real world argument you selected using one or more of the effective argument strategies presented in the articles and video (from Step 1). Be sure to introduce each strategy you discuss and attribute and cite that strategy to the appropriate source (article/video). Need a reminder on how to set up attributions and citations?
