One of the case studies you should know is that of a girl known as "Genie". She was severely abused by her parents, and became the subject of important research. "Genie" is the closest person we have as a case study of what a person becomes in the absence of nurture. I would like you to watch this documentary clip on Genie and response that connects with both the concept of development, and The Brain, Chapter 3..
