Genji, head of the family services department agency, noticed the lack of morale in her staff; four have quit, and she has yet to be able to replace them. Most importantly, the team had expressed that they are going from visit to visit, not providing quality care, resources, or interactions for their clients. The staff says they believe the organization's mandate to provide holistic service and develop family empowerment is being compromised with a lesser level of service and a lack of time to spend with individual clients. This results in missed opportunities to get input from families concerning their needs. The staff also said they need more time to document notes. Some visits have been cut, and one child has died under the agency's supervision.
