Intelligence producers compete for attention. Analysts want their product read, understood, and where appropriate acted upon. Analyst want recognition for the quality and relevance of their work. By the same token offices in intelligence organizations want to be seen as a value contributor to the operational and policymaking arenas. For organizations this often translates into budgetary benefits. As a result, some will argue that intelligence analysts and organizations need to sell their product. What does "selling intelligence" suggest to you? Does it mean putting a price tag on the products? Or does it mean something different? Explain your thinking.
