1. Technology and Operations What task does the operations function in a manufacturing organisation and in a service organisation perform? How does operations strategy contribute to make to corporate strategy? Explain. Provide examples, if deemed necessary.

2. Product and Process Design The objective of the company is to provide product and service to satisfy customers and create value for them. A product and service should be designed based on the customer requirement and feedback. Process design is where the product is broken down into parts before going to the actual manufacturing process.

In 2006, Microsoft released Zune to compete with Apple's iPod. On the surface, it looks much more stunning with beautiful interface and onscreen colours. Yet, the product was not a success. Why? Is there anything wrong with its product and process design? If Microsoft want to rebuild and relaunch Zune today, what would you suggest them to do?

3. Project Management Describe how a Gantt chart, a PERT chart, and a CPM are similar - and how they are different. As we face the massive disruption of COVID19, how does the pandemic (and now we are slowly moving toward the endemic) affect the project decision-making and day-to-day operations in a project organisation?
