Each group will create a fictional society that reflects Hobbesian principles. They should consider:

State of Nature: What does life look like in the absence of government? What drives individuals? Incorporate Hobbes' perspective on human nature.
Formation of the Social Contract: What events lead to the decision to establish a government? What are the key agreements?
Government Structure: What type of government is created? What powers does the sovereign have, and how do they maintain order? Be sure to be specific when discussing the powers possessed by the sovereign.
Rights and Responsibilities: What rights are granted to citizens? What responsibilities do they have toward the state and each other?
Conflict Resolution: How does the society handle dissent or conflict? What mechanisms are in place to ensure stability?
