2. Mary Mac is a 61-year-old female with a 60-pack-year history of smoking who was diagnosed with COPD 7 ears ago. She is currently being treated on the general floor for community-acquired pneumonia. She has been intubated twice because of exacerbation of COPD and is complaining of dyspnea. She is very anxious and tripoding. What does it mean that she is a 60-pack-year smoker? What is the definition of exacerbation?? Are her vital signs in normal range? Are her ABG's in an acceptable range? What is tripoding and why is that significant in this scenario? What treatment would you initiate at this time?
