For this discussion we are going to look at both the general and the specific. Please address the following questions and scenarios in order to establish a clear, professional, and Biblical perspective on the roles and responsibilities of a supervisor in the hospitality industry. First, based on your readings/viewings, compare and contrast the supervisory roles of leaders and managers. What does a supervisor do as a leader and as a manager? Are there any overlapping responsibilities? Be specific. Second, with your understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a supervisor, identify some of the challenges that the supervisor faces in carrying out these responsibilities. How can these challenges be addressed in the workplace in order for the employee, supervisor, and organization to succeed?
