Purpose The main task for module one requires students to develop a framework for defining what counts as high quality teaching and learning in their own organisation / context.
Question 1: The questions to consider here include: How do you know you have quality teaching and learning happening? Where do you look / where is there evidence? What does it look like?
Question 2: Description This is a three part assignment that will be accomplished over the first third of the course.
Question 3: 2023 Introduction: In education, we often used the words "effective" "high-quality" and "good" to describe teaching and learning in classrooms. But, how do we really know if the teaching and learning in our school/classroom or program is effective, high-quality or good? What can we use to judge quality? Where should we look to find evidence of quality? What does it look like? Can it be measured? What does a framework look like to evaluate the program or practice you are interested in?
Question 4: This assignment asks you to do some research and reflection to really think about how to determine if a program is being well-implemented, if a classroom teacher is teaching well, if a school is living up to its mission. The assignment asks you to either develop or find a framework that can be used to evaluate the teachers/program/practice. The assignment also asks you to do some strategic thinking about how you can use such a framework with fidelity to determine if quality is happening across a school or organisation.
